Willows Weep for Spring

On Wednesday (April 17), Lake Bennett showed very little evidence that spring is at hand. And not much more water visible since we checked on the lake about 10 days ago. 

With continuing colder-than-average temperatures and predictions for more snow on the way, the 28-acre lake at Central Park  still mostly remains a big sheet ofice.

So when do you think the ice will be completely gone from the lake? Will it be next week? Before the end of the month? Before the 2013 fishing opener?
