Golf coursesÂ
At the city of Roseville's club manager Roxann Maxey was hoping at least two weeks ago for the season opener to have already occurred.Â
But on Monday, Maxey said, "We need two days to dry out and prep the course for opening after the snow is gone from fairway and green area. Its suppose to be nice out this weekend, so hopefully we will open by this weekend."
But she added that the snowfall from Monday night and into today (Tuesday) , will determine when the season opener occurs. "Our leagues start next week, so we are hoping to keep that on track," she told Roseville Patch.Â
Even if Roseville can get its municipal golf course open by this weekend, it will be one of the latest season starts in several years. Â The golf course opened last year on March 16. Other season openers were April 11 in 2011, March 23 in 2010 and April 7 in 2009.Â

Road project delays
The Minnesota Departent of Transportation's District Office in Roseville said that "winter weather has once again delayed plans to close the intersection of Highway 10 and Ramsey County Road 96 in Arden Hills."
If weather cooperates this week, crews will close the roadways sometime in the middle of the week to begin major reconstruction at Highway 10 and Ramsey County Road 96, MnDOT said. "The closures are also needed for resurfacing of the Hwy 10 Diagonal between I-694 and I-35W."Â
Information will be sent out once a definite date has been determined, the department said.
Although the postponements have delayed the start of work, they should not cause any problems with completing the project by this fall, MnDOT officials said.
