ST. PAUL, MN — Alcohol was a factor in a deadly single-car crash on eastbound Interstate 94 early Sunday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

At about 2:50 a.m., a Hyundai Elantra was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control on the interstate near St. Peter Street, authorities said. The vehicle then rolled.

Investigators said that conditions were dry at the time of the crash.

The crash killed the driver; 38-year-old Tricia Lynn Pegues of Minneapolis. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.
