Emergency Alert Sunday Came From MN State Fair Police After Armed Robberies
A countywide emergency alert that buzzed phones Sunday morning was connected to a search for two armed robbery suspects.

RAMSEY COUNTY, MN — An emergency alert that buzzed phones Sunday morning was connected to a search for armed robbery suspects, Ramsey County authorities confirmed. Two of the suspects remain at large.
According to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents began with three robberies:
- 6:54 a.m. — Speedway on the 2200 block of Rice Street in Roseville
- 8:34 a.m. — BP on the 300 block of Little Canada Road in Little Canada
- 9:05 a.m. — BP on the 3100 block of Cleveland Avenue in Roseville, where a clerk was physically assaulted
Deputies spotted the suspects’ vehicle after the robberies and pursued it into St. Paul. The car crashed near Pierce Butler and Prior avenues, and one suspect was arrested.

Two others fled on foot into nearby woods, prompting a large search involving K9 units.
The Minnesota State Fair Police Department requested the emergency alert during the search.

Around 11:37 a.m., a follow-up message was sent to phones across Ramsey County saying the area was clear and operations were back to normal. However, several residents said they never received the initial alert on their phones.
Two suspects remain at large.
