Falcon View Connections Academy Opens Enrollment for 2022-2023
Virtual public school entering its fourth year serving students throughout Minnesota

Enrollment for Falcon View Connections Academy (FVCA), a tuition-free, full-time public virtual school has officially opened for the 2022-23 school year. Free information sessions will be offered to help interested families learn more about the school and the benefits of an online learning environment.
Falcon View Connections Academy offers students throughout Minnesota an individualized approach to education in a safe, supportive online learning environment. Learning from home or anywhere there is an Internet connection, students work closely with Minnesota-certified teachers specially trained in online instruction. Teachers develop individualized learning plans that help nurture each student’s strengths while providing additional support in areas of need.
“At Falcon View Connections Academy, we offer students a curriculum that meets them wherever they are academically with teachers who keep them engaged and motivated to succeed,” said Falcon View Connections Academy School Leader Anne Wasmund. “Parents find stability in our virtual school and appreciate how our individualized approach empowers their children to learn and ultimately take ownership of their academic experiences.”

Falcon View Connections Academy students also benefit from real-time feedback and customized schedules, ensuring each student has the opportunity to learn in a way that’s best suited for them. The curriculum, from the nationally recognized, award-winning Connections Academy program, meets rigorous state education standards, and will include core classes as well as engaging electives, honors and AP courses, and Career Technical Education (CTE) classes.
Outside of schoolwork, students make friends and socialize through numerous online clubs and activities and during in-person field trips and school events. At Falcon View Connections Academy, parents are considered “Learning Coaches” as they play a very active role in their child’s education and work closely with the teachers to monitor student participation and progress.

“In the traditional classroom setting our son struggled. Even though he is very smart, he was easily distracted, and his grades suffered,” said Kimber Austin of Mapleton. “After researching different online options, we chose to enroll him in Falcon View Connections Academy, and he is doing much better. He’s able to work at his own pace and his teachers are always available when he needs their help. Not only have his grades significantly improved, but his confidence and self-esteem have been restored.”
