Here Are The 2025 MN Inflation-Adjusted Income Tax Brackets
The Minnesota Department of Revenue has announced the updated individual income tax brackets for the 2025 tax year.
ST. PAUL, MN — The Minnesota Department of Revenue has announced the updated individual income tax brackets for the 2025 tax year.
These brackets will increase by 2.886 percent from the 2024 levels, reflecting an annual adjustment designed to ensure taxpayers don’t face higher tax rates solely due to inflation.
By law, Minnesota has indexed individual income tax brackets for inflation since 1979. The adjustments are calculated annually using the U.S. Chained Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers and rounded to the nearest $10.

For married taxpayers filing separately, the brackets are set at half the amounts for married joint filers, after accounting for inflation. These adjustments do not affect the tax rates applied to each bracket, however.
The updated brackets will take effect for the 2025 tax year. Taxpayers making quarterly estimated tax payments should use the new rate schedule for their payments, starting in April 2025.
