Hit-And-Run Driver Sought After Woman Killed Near I-94 In St. Paul

Saint Paul police said the woman died after being struck at Saint Anthony Avenue and Aldine Street.

SAINT PAUL, MN — Saint Paul police are searching for the driver who fled after striking and killing a pedestrian Thursday evening near Interstate 94.

The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Saint Anthony Avenue and Aldine Street.

An adult woman was hit by a vehicle — believed to be a black SUV — and suffered severe injuries. She was taken to Regions Hospital, where she died a short time later, police said.

The driver sped away before officers arrived. As of Thursday night, an active search was underway to locate both the driver and the SUV involved.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the SPPD Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.
