Minnesota State Fair Pedestrian Bridge Fails Safety Check, Won’t Return For 2025
Fair officials told Patch the pedestrian bridge over Como Avenue was not reinstalled this year due to safety concerns.

ST. PAUL, MN — The pedestrian bridge that normally connects the Minnesota State Fair parking lot over Como Avenue to the fairgrounds near the Coliseum won’t be in use this year, Minnesota State Fair officials told Patch.
The bridge, built in 1965, is inspected annually by a structural engineer. "This year we were not comfortable installing it," fair officials said.
Guests can still purchase admission tickets on the south side of Como Avenue and will be directed to cross at the designated crosswalk to enter through Gate No. 9.
