MN State Fair Remains Closed Tuesday Morning For Cleanup After Storms

UPDATE: As of 9 a.m., the Minnesota State Fair is open following Monday morning's cleanup.
ST. PAUL, MN — The grounds of the Minnesota State Fair, including parking lots, are closed until further notice Tuesday morning for damage assessment and debris cleanup.
"We ask the public to not come to the fairgrounds," fair officials said in a statement. "We do not have an anticipated opening time." Vendors and staff may enter.

The fairgrounds suffered a one-two punch of severe storms Monday night into Tuesday morning.
The storms rolled into the area around 8:30 p.m., forcing the cancellation of Monday night's Happy Together Tour 2024 Grandstand concert. The Mighty Midway, Kidway, Adventure Park, and ticketed attractions were closed early as fairgoers sought shelter.

Additional severe weather arrived around 6 a.m., delaying Monday morning's opening.
