More Than 32K Votes Cast In MN In 2024 General Election
"Voting season has begun and Minnesotans are clearly excited to make their voices heard," Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon said.

ST. PAUL, MN — Over 32,000 Minnesotans have already voted in the 2024 general election, according to the Secretary of State office.
In the first six days of voting, local election officials in Minnesota sent out 431,502 absentee and mail-in ballots. County, city, and township election officials accepted 32,788 ballots during that same period.
A total of 1,246,810 ballots were sent in the first week of voting in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, significantly more than this year.

But only 150,488 ballots were sent in the first week of voting in 2016.
"Voting season has begun and Minnesotans are clearly excited to make their voices heard," said Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon in a news release.

“There is still plenty of time left for folks to do their research on the candidates and issues that will appear on the November 5 ballot - and our website mnvotes.gov is here to help. At mnvotes.gov, voters can get registered, request an absentee ballot, view their sample ballot, find their polling place, and more.”
