More Ramps Close For I-94/I-35E Project In St. Paul

The closures are a part of a $27 million project​ that began in the summer of 2021.

From May through July, crews will focus on repairs and resurfacing on I-94 between Marion St. and I-35E. They will do the same on I-35E between I-94 and University Avenue.

ST. PAUL, MN — Several ramps near downtown St. Paul were closed Monday as Minnesota Department of Transportation crews continues to work on Interstate 94 and Interstate 35E.

From May through July, crews will focus on repairs and resurfacing on I-94 between Marion St. and I-35E. They will do the same on I-35E between I-94 and University Avenue.

During that time, the following ramps will be closed:

  • Eastbound I-94 to East 7th Street.
  • Northbound I-35E to EB I-94 slip ramp
  • Jackson St. to NB I-35E
  • Jackson St. to EB I-94

Motorists should also be prepared for lane restrictions on both I-94 and I-35E.
