New Coronavirus Trusted Community Connectors Announced In Ramsey County

Partners will assess the needs of their target population(s) and identify what topics and messages are a priority for promotion.

Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health has announced a renewed partnership with eight community organizations to serve as Trusted Community Connectors by providing accurate and timely COVID-19 information. The Trusted Community Connectors are partnering with Public Health to ensure the county's diverse racial, ethnic and cultural communities are informed about COVID-19 vaccines and county resources.

Building on earlier county initiatives, the Trusted Community Connectors over the next several months will:

  • Provide accurate and timely COVID-19 vaccine information through targeted outreach.
  • Help residents connect directly to vaccine, testing and health resource in Ramsey County.
  • Build upon existing vaccination rates, reaching our racially and ethnically diverse communities, including families with children 5 to 11-years-old and other youths.

Partners will assess the needs of their target population(s) and identify what topics and messages are a priority for promotion. They will then use a variety of engagement strategies and communications channels to reach the community. Advancing racial and health equity and effective community engagement is an integral part of Ramsey County's COVID-19 response. Funding for Trusted Community Connectors has been provided through the county's COVID-19 Racial Equity and Community Engagement Response Team (RECERT).
