Warm temperatures Thursday and Friday are followed by snow in the forecast Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

ST. PAUL, MN — The spring-like temperatures Minnesota has been enjoying this week will continue into Friday, according to officials.

“Not very often we can say this in December, but … crack a window!” NWS Twin Cities posted Thursday morning on social media. “Today will be dry and mostly clear with highs in the 50s (60s for some in western MN).”

Record highs are possible Thursday and Friday, according to the service, which reported that past Twin Cities records for Dec. 7 and Dec. 8 come in at 54 degrees and 50 degrees, respectively. The forecast high for St. Paul is 53 degrees Thursday and 51 degrees Friday.

“Snowfall will be just enough to cause slick roads, plan accordingly!” NWS Twin Cities said in the social media post.
