Snow Emergency Declared In St. Paul: Here’s Where You Can’t Park

ST. PAUL, MN — A snow emergency is in effect in St. Paul as of Wednesday, March 5, requiring residents to follow plowing rules to prevent ticketing and towing.

• Night plow routes (March 5, 9 p.m.) – No parking on streets marked as "night plow route" or "night plow route this side of street."
• Day plow routes (March 6, 8 a.m.) – No parking on streets without night plow route signs until plowed.

The snow emergency remains in effect for 96 hours, ending March 9 at 9 p.m.

Recycling and garbage delays

Due to snowfall, citywide waste collection is delayed:

• Recycling: FCC delayed 2 hours; Eureka delayed 1 day.
• Garbage: Highland and Waste Management delayed 1 day; Republic delayed 2 hours.

As of 6 a.m. Wednesday, official National Weather Service snowfall reports show 7.4 inches at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 6.5 inches at the NWS office in Chanhassen, 1.0 inches in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and 0.8 inches in St. Cloud.
