St. Paul Man Fighting For His Life After Struck Walking On Highway

A 52-year-old St. Paul man is fighting for his life after he was struck while walking on Highway 52 Thursday afternoon.

ST. PAUL, MN — A 52-year-old St. Paul man is fighting for his life after he was struck while walking on Highway 52 Thursday afternoon.

At about 2:50 p.m., a Red Mitsubishi Outlander was driving northbound on Highway 52 near Eaten Street in St. Paul when it struck the pedestrian who was walking westward in the northbound lanes, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The pedestrian, David Lee Hendershot, is being treated at Regions Hospital.

The driver — a 58-year-old woman also from St. Paul — was not injured in the crash.

The collision halted traffic on northbound Highway 52 for several hours.
