ST. PAUL, MN — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, is the target of a viral disinformation campaign organized by Russian groups, according to U.S. intelligence officials.
A recently surfaced video showed a man claiming to be a former student of Walz and accusing the candidate of sexual misconduct from years ago.
"Russian influence actors manufactured and amplified inauthentic content claiming illegal activity committed by the Democratic vice-presidential candidate during his earlier career," reads a briefing from the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Agents "reviewed electronic media associated with this effort and in doing so revealed several indicators of manipulation that are consistent with the influence efforts and tactics Russian actors have used this cycle"
