A Rundown of Construction Projects Around Shakopee

Traveling around Shakopee has not been easy. Here's a quick look at the construction projects occurring around the area.

Eagle Creek Boulevard between Canterbury Road and Vierling Drive starts Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. The area will close fully at 9:30 a.m. and will remain closed through Aug. 15. 

Highway 169 remains in the single lane, head to head traffic formation on the south side of the roadway. The following ramps to and from northbound Hwy. 169 are also closed: 

• Pioneer Trail
• Old Shakopee Road
• Hwy 101
• County Road 21

The work is part of the Bloomington Ferry Bridge Project, which is expected to finish Aug. 23.

Traveling toward Belle Plaine on Hwy. 169 will lead to helicopter work for the CapX2020 project. State troopers will be present to direct traffic. The work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day through Friday, Aug. 16.

A portion of northbound County Road 61 (Flying Cloud Drive) in Eden Prairie is one lane.

The ramp from southbound I-35W to northbound Hwy 13 is closed. The right lane of northbound Highway 13 at I-35W is also closed while repairs are done to the bridge.

The grand opening of Green Meadows Park starts at 6 p.m. and runs through 7:30 p.m. The event includes a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Brad Tabke.

Auditions for River Valley Theatre Company's Blithe Spirit continue on Tuesday at Shakopee West Junior High School. Tuesday auditions will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. with callbacks afterwards if needed.
