All Rise: Two Judges Sought in Shakopee
Applications are now being taken for two judicial vacancies at the Scott County Government Center in Shakopee.

With one judge retiring and another's recent appointment to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the is short two judges, according a post by Minnesota Lawyer.
The vacancies were created by the appointment of Judge Carol Hooten to the Court of Appeals and the retirement of Judge William E. Macklin, the Minnesota Lawyer post said. Â
Scott County is in Minnesota’s First Judicial District, which also includes the counties of Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, LeSueur, McLeod and Sibley.
