City Of Shakopee: Seasonal Changes To Alley Garbage Service

The city's trash hauler, Dick's Sanitation Inc., will implement seasonal changes, effective March 16, to some Shakopee residents whose garbage is picked up in the alley.

These changes are dictated by spring load restrictions and the weather affecting the strength of alley and roadways.

The affected service area is west of Marschall Road and north of Vierling Drive. DSI has notified the affected properties directly. Red alleys will continue to be serviced in the alley while restrictions are in effect; blue alleys will temporarily be moved to street service. 

Please note that residents in the blue areas must move their bins to the street on their regular service days or they will not receive garbage pickup service. 

An announcement will be posted on the city website once these seasonal restrictions are lifted.
