Scott County will host approximately 100 area 8th and 9th grade civics students from around the County for this all-day event, featuring guided tours, law enforcement canine demonstrations, one-on-one mentor activities, a mock trial, a mock County Board meeting, and a public safety group at the SCALE Regional Training Facility in Jordan. This event has been designed to give these students the opportunity to build on what they’ve learned in the classroom by gaining a unique, hands-on perspective of local government.
