Ex-Viking Everson Griffen Charged With DWI, Reckless Driving
Read the citation issued to the former Minnesota Vikings defensive end after he was pulled over in Chanhassen over the weekend.

CHANHASSEN, MN — Former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was charged Monday with drunken driving, reckless driving, and excess speed in a construction zone following a traffic stop over the weekend.
Police said Griffen's black 1968 Pontiac LeMans caused a "person or vehicle to dodge" at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday near Powers Boulevard and Utica Lane.
Griffen's blood-alcohol content was recorded at .9, above Minnesota's legal limit of .8, according to the citation.

Griffen, who lives in Mound, was booked into the Carver County Jail at 12:41 p.m. Saturday. He was released exactly an hour later on no bail, jail documents show.
Griffen's arraignment hearing is scheduled for Aug. 28.
