FISH Meeting Today to Focus on the Road to Citizenship

Shakopee Mayor Brad Tabke will speak about diversity initiatives in the city.

Shakopee Mayor Brad Tabke posted this morning that he will be speaking today at the monthly Families and Individuals Sharing Hope (FISH) meeting today about the city's cultural Diversity initiatives in Shakopee. The main topic of the meeting is ‘The Road to Citizenship.’

Every non-citizen who wants to relocate to the U.S. is legally required to have a visa, issued by the United States Department of State. But, a visa is only one step in the process to becoming a citizen. The public is welcome to come to the meeting to learn about how to become a U.S. citizen and share that knowledge with clients, friends and neighbors. Speakers who have gone through the process will also tell their stories.
