3. On this date in 1974, Minnesota's Jeannette Piccard, who had once piloted hydrogen balloons into the stratosphere, was one of the first women to be ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church, according to the Minnesota Historical Society.  Â
4. City of Shakopee crews are closing Shenandoah Drive Between 4th Ave. and County Hwy 101 to all traffic from 7 a.m. Aug. 1 through Friday, Aug. 5 for railroad crossing replacement and street repair.Â
