Huber Park Performance Series Starts Thursday

The 2012 Series of free live performances and movies begins Thursday with the Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble.

Live performances are on Thursdays between May 31 and mid-September. Most start at 7 p.m. and last 45-60 minutes. The lineup includes:

Thursday, June 7 – Bob the Beachcomber

Thursday, June 14 – Czech Concertina Players

Thursday, June 21 – Jazz on the Prairie Big Band

Thursday, June 28 – Battle of the Bands

Thursday, July 5 – Schiffelly Puppets

Thursday, July 12 – Pan Dimensions

Thursday, July 19 – MN Valley Community Band

Thursday, July 26 – CLIMB Theatre, The Tortoise and The Hair

Thursday, Aug. 2 – DJ

Thursday, Aug. 9 – Sticks and Tones

Thursday, Aug. 16 – Dick Kimmel & Co.

Thursday, Aug. 30 – Loosely Wound

Free movies are planned at sunset on June 16, July 7, Aug. 1 and Aug. 25. The movie lineup has not yet been announced. If it rains on movie nights, movies will be shown at the . Call the Weather Hotline at (952) 233-9502.
