City to Hold Reception for Outgoing Shakopee Mayor and Councilor

The City of Shakopee is planning a reception honoring outgoing Mayor and Councilor for their service to the city.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at (129 Holmes St. S). Cookies, coffee and punch will be served. 

Schmitt was sworn in as mayor in January 2004 and was re-elected to that position for three additional two-year terms. Heitzman became a city councilor in January 2008 and is now completing his four-year term.
