Lisa Skoog, a Scott County prosecutor responsible for civil DUI forfeitures, will receive a prestigious Brad Manor/Frank Thissen Award for her efforts toward reducing impaired driving recidivism and keeping our community’s streets safe, according to a news release from Scott County.
“Throughout 2011, (Lisa Skoog’s) efforts have saved countless lives,” wrote David Decker, vice president of the Minnesota Alcohol Traffic Safety Association (MATSA). Through working with nine different law enforcement agencies in Scott County, Skoog helped seize over 1,100 vehicles for forfeiture since 2002. In addition, noted Jordan Police Chief Robert Malz, who nominated Skoog for the award, “Skoog’s drive and enthusiasm serves as an example to her peers. She is determined to do her part to keep drunk drivers off our roads.”
Scott County Attorney Patrick Ciliberto said he can't think of anyone more deserving of this award and this recognition.
