Man Missing from St. Peter Treatment Center Arrested

William Daniel Pfeffer, Jr., age 25, who has a history of assaults, was found at Seven Mile Creek County Park in the St. Peter area.

After disappearing Tuesday, a patient from St. Peter Regional Medical Center was found and arrested just after noon today, according to a report by the Mankato Free Press.

William Daniel Pfeffer, Jr., age 25, who has a history of assaults, was found at Seven Mile Creek County Park, which is a secluded wooded park next to the Minnesota River and spanning across Highway 169 and up a large ravine, the report said. It's about four miles south of the Regional Treatment Center campus.

Pfeffer has been taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries but it is unknown at this time how how he came to be injured.

Law enforcement began searching for Pfeffer after he was reported missing at 2 p.m Tuesday. He was convicted in 2007 of felony second-degree assault with a weapon and in 2008 was sentenced to inpatient mental health treatment for an indeterminate amount of time, according to court documents.
