Meet Abe Lincoln, Ride Horse Trolley During Shakopee's Civil War Weekend

The Three Rivers Park District is holding a Civil War Weekend at The Landing at Minnesota River Heritage Park.

There won't be any scenes of large-scale, pre-penicillin death, but those who come to The Landing at Minnesota River Heritage Park the first weekend in May will have a chance to hear the roar of musketry, meet an Abraham Lincoln impersonator (Saturday only) and ride a trolley pulled by Percheron horses.

The Three Rivers Park District is holding a Civil War Weekend on May 4 and 5 where tourists to the 1860s can visit the encampments at The Landing and see how Minnesota soldiers lived.

The gift shop will be open and food will be available for purchase.
