Opening Friday - Frozen Yogurt Bar in Shakopee

"Swirl, top, weigh and pay," so go the words in a music video promoting CherryBerry, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop with its newest location to open in Shakopee this week.

The store, located at 8084 Old Carriage Court N. in the Southbridge area, was set to have a soft grand opening from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. But a post on Facebook Wednesday night said, "Hey CherryBerry Lovers! Because of construction delays our opening will be postponed until further notice. We are thinking Friday, but we are unsure. :( We will keep you updated. Thanks again for all the support."

Another Facebook post later Thursday said the shop would open at 3 p.m. Friday.

CherryBerry is a national chain with a franchise in St. Cloud and plans for stores in Mankato, Woodbury and in Duluth, among others in Minnesota.
