Open House Today for Marschall Road Improvement Projects

Officials from the City of Shakopee and Scott County will hold an open house on upcoming transportation construction projects including the County Highway 17 (Marschall Road)/Vierling Drive Intersection and Highway 169N Ramp (from Marschall Road) Intersection Improvement Project. The open house will be from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 14 at the .

During the open house, visitors can learn more about existing and anticipated future challenges in the area and preliminary intersection concepts. Participants also will have an opportunity to identify other issues of concern. An informational flier is available by clicking here. 

The city was recently awarded approximately $1.1 million in Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program funds to construct improvements at the intersections to address existing safety and congestion issues. Improvements will likely include constructing additional turn lanes and updating the traffic signal systems. The project is scheduled to be constructed in 2014.
