Fire officials believe the fire, which destroyed a 30x30 shed filled with corn, was accidental.

The Shakopee Fire Department was called to a large shed on fire at 1575 Zumbro Court at approximately 3:03 a.m. today.

The shed, which was 30 x 30 foot and held corn stalk grindings, was a total loss, Shakopee Fire Captain Tom Pitschneider said this morning. No one was injured.

Firefighters were on the scene, near Marystown Road/County Road 15 and West 150th Street/County Highway 14, for at least two hours using water and a backhoe to squelch the blaze. Fire trucks repeatedly drew water from a point near Jackson Elementary to put out the fire. Jordan and Chaska Fire departments also provided water trucks.
