Colleague Insults It – Rep. Mike Beard Praises North Dakota Capitol

(R-Shakopee) got a tour of the North Dakota Capitol this week and had a very different impression than that of a colleague, according to an Associated Press report.

Beard said the Depression-era Capitol with a 242-foot tower is an amazing structure and is nothing like an insurance company headquarters — no matter that Minnesota Republican House majority leader Matt Dean called it that and "embarrassing" a month ago, the report said.

Beard was in North Dakota this week for an oil industry conference and told Patch he had run into several people from Shakopee while there.
