Updated: Severe Weather Possible Saturday and Sunday
Showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly before 1 p.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service – Twin Cities has posted a Hazardous Weather Outlook for much of southern Minnesota for Saturday night and Sunday, which includes Scott, Dakota, Hennepin and Ramsey counties.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop over Iowa and Nebraska Saturday night and lift northeast across much of the area. Severe thunderstorms with large hail and strong winds will be possible. Rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch are possible.Â
Thunderstorms will again be possible into Sunday as a low pressure system and cold front sweep east. Showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly before 1 p.m. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. South southeast winds are expected to be between 13 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.Â
