Shakopee Diversity Alliance Sets Priorities

Since the in March, a task force has been meeting periodically ever since. According to a recent post by Mayor Brad Tabke, the task force has renamed the group to the Shakopee Diversity Alliance and created their vision:

The Shakopee Diversity Alliance’s vision is that through collaboration and awareness, Shakopee is united as a vibrant, diverse, inclusive community.

Their top three goals are:

1. Host an international event.

2. Build a resource network.

A dedicated team is currently leading the group and they are working through governance and details so they are not seeking more members at this time. Opportunities for involvement are expected to be announced in the next few months, Tabke said.
