She will hold a book launch event at Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 9.

Felix will read from the novel, share startling facts and figures from her research, and talk about her career as a biographer of political heavyweights from Condoleezza Rice and General Wesley Clark to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor—and celebrity musicians including Andrea Bocelli and Harry Connick, Jr.—in this unique event that marks the author’s return to her hometown.
Felix is the New York Times bestselling author of 16 nonfiction books, including Sonia Sotomayor: The True American Dream (Berkley/Penguin USA), Wesley K. Clark: A Biography (Newmarket Press), and Condi: The Condoleezza Rice Story (Newmarket). A sought-after speaker on women’s political topics, she has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews, NPR, SkyNews, Sirius-XM, “Entertainment Tonight,” and many other TV and radio programs; has moderated a U.S. Senate briefing about women’s and minority rights in Iran; and is featured in the award-winning 2010 documentary, American Faust: From Condi to Neo-Condi.

In addition to writing, Felix is a classical singer who has performed in concert, opera, and recital throughout the U.S. and Europe. She is currently an adjunct professor in Hamline University’s Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program and the associate director of Minnesota Concert Opera, which was recently founded by her husband, Stanford Felix. She lives in Minneapolis.
