Shakopee High School Production of "Grease" Honored

"Grease" received an honorable mention for overall production, overall performance and performance by a student orchestra in Hennepin Theatre Trust's Fall 2011 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program.

The recent Shakopee High School production of "" received an honorable mention for overall production, overall performance and performance by a student orchestra in Hennepin Theatre Trust's Fall 2011 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program, according to a Hennepin Theatre Trust news release.

Honored also were:
Madalyn Sharp - oustanding performance in a featured role,
Caleb Richards - outstanding performance in a supporting role
Burger Palace Boys - oustanding performance by a chorus/ensemble.
Allison O’Shaughnessy - honorable mention in a leading role
Josh Dumalag - honorable mention in a supporting role
Meagan Spott as Jan, performance in a supporting role.

Schools and participating musical theatre students will also be honored at SpotLight’s culminating event, the seventh annual SpotLight Showcase, scheduled this year at 7 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.
