Shakopee Indians Claim Northwest Amateur Baseball Championships

The Shakopee Indians are now 9-0 on the season.

The Shakopee Indians won the 2012 Northwest Amateur Baseball Championships in Fargo-Moorhead last weekend. They claimed the title Sunday with a 6-4 victory over a divisional foe – the Victoria Vics, according to a report by the Minnesota Baseball Association.

The Indians starting pitcher Aaron Olson stole the show in the championship game and was named the tournament MVP, the report said.

With a 6-0 win against Henderson Tuesday night, Shakopee moves to 9-0 on the season.
