Shakopee Man Arrested in 1999 Iowa Murder Case
Investigators "developed new information" that led to the arrest and charges, the Star Tribune reported.

Shakopee Police have arrested a man in a Cedar Rapids, IA murder case that goes back to 1999, according to KCRG.com.Â
Deshaun Phillips, 34, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Judith Weeks, 44, the Star Tribune reported.Â
Her body was found in the backyard of a vacant Cedar Rapids apartment on April 5, 1999. An autopsy said she'd been struck in the forehead by a sharp object.
The arrest comes after investigators in Iowa gained new information. They will not release any more information at this time.Â
