Shakopee Man Charged With Pawning iPhone Containing Child Porn

Police found more than 100 pictures of child erotica and pornography on aime Martinez Jr.'s computer and cell phones.

A 50-year-old Shakopee man is facing charges after trying to pawn an iPhone containing child pornography.

After Jaime Martinez Jr. brought in the phone to Shakopee's Pawn Exchange in August, an employee found pictures of naked girls on the phone and alerted police.

Further investigation by the Scott County Sheriff's Office yielded more than 100 images of child erotica and several images of child pornography on Martinez's computer and phones, the Shakopee Valley News reported. Martinez's files included photos of prepubescent girls engaged in sexual activity with an adult male and a boy and a picture of a teen or young adult performing a sex act on a male toddler.

Martinez told police he made the "stupid mistake" of looking at pictures of scantily clad teenage girls because he had been curious and “just wanted to see for a little bit,” according to the paper.
