Shakopee's Corey Anderson Places Fourth in State Wrestling

Four Shakopee wrestlers competed at state over the weekend.

The Shakopee wrestling team was well represented and performed well over the weekend at the Class AAA state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, according to wrestling coach Mark Neu.

Alex Coleman wrestled at 113, Sam Hall at 160, Scott Bode at 195 and Corey Anderson at 285.

Coleman and Bode each won their first round match then went 0-2 after that. Hall went 0-2 at the tournament.

Three of our four wrestlers were knocked out of the winner’s bracket by the eventual state champion. 

Anderson placed the best for Shakopee, finishing in fourth place.
