Shakopee Schools Upcoming Events: Hall of Fame, Anti-Bullying
Both events will take place on Friday, Oct. 4, which is the same day as Shakopee's Homecoming game.

The Shakopee Public Schools community has a few events to look forward to early in October.
On Oct. 4, students in 6th through 8th grade will sign an anti-bullying pledge and participate in related events.
Events include a one-mile commitment walk or run, an inflatable obstacle course, a BMX show and a performance by Jillian Jensen, who is an X-Factor contestant and anti-bullying advocate.
Students will also have the chance to train alongside Gopher athletes and trainers from local fitness groups, according to a district news release.
Students in 9th grade will participate in Kaizen training, which focuses on being better peers and students.
Also, on Oct. 4, Shakopee Schools will induct eight people into the district's first Hall of Fame. The inductees are: Bert and Bonnie Notermann, Jesse Theis, Justin Kaufenberg, Fred Coller, Farmer Marschall, Antonia Felix and Patricia Pass.
Photos and more information about the alumni who will be inducted in the Hall of Fame is available on the district's Facebook page.
