Shakopee Police Offer Reward in Post-Soundset Break-In

Up to $500 is offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction.

The  is offering a reward for information related to a break-in after the hip hop festival in late May.

Two doors to the Scott County Workforce Center building, run by the , were broken and about 20 people entered starting at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday, May 27, which is just after the festival at was , according to Shakopee police Capt. Craig Robson. The CAP Agency campus and building is adjacent to parking areas at Canterbury Park.

Video from the CAP Agency shows people breaking one door by hitting it with a parking sign. Police are still investigating whether anything was taken or damaged. Scott County Workforce Center building, which houses the CAP Agency's food shelf and thrift shop, as well as New Options, a day program for developmentally disabled adults, and other offices.

Up to $500 in reward money is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction of those responsible. Robson said officials from Canterbury Park and festival organizer Rhymesayers Entertainment are motivated to find the people responsible. 

Robson called the incident a disappointment.

"It kind of puts a black mark on the event," he said.
