The focus for Tuesday and Tuesday night is on the threat for heavy rain and flash flooding as a low pressure system and associated frontal boundaries move slowly across the area. Several rounds of thunderstorms, some with torrential rainfall, are expected Tuesday and Tuesday night. Several inches of rain may occur by Wednesday morning with training storms. A flash flood watch covers much of the area from Tuesday into Wednesday due to the potential for heavy rain on already saturated soil.
