The crowd of about 125 was fairly quiet until one question came about creating jobs and extending unemployment benefits. After a round of applause, Kline said there has been widespread bi-partisan support for extending benefits recently.
He said he would like to see the unemployment program reformed and improved, from the 99 weeks some states have had to what he called a “much more normal 59 weeks.” Kline also said he doesn’t believe millionaires should be eligible for unemployment benefits because the system is not set up for it.
