Even With Only 1.5 Inches, Shakopee Plows Were Out

City streets will be plowed at 2 or more inches of snow, according to the city's policy.

About 1.5 inches of snow fell in Shakopee yesterday by 10:40 p.m. but not all roads in Shakopee had been plowed by this morning.

Mayor Brad Tabke tweeted today, "Sorry folks - not sure why all Shakopee streets weren't plowed this morning. I'm looking into it and will let you know."

According to the city's snowplow policy, city streets will be plowed at 2 or more inches of snow. Although this snow was less than that, City crews began plowing and salting the snow emergency routes at 4 a.m., according to Lori Cram, the city's communications officer.
