Wanted: Big Ideas for Shakopee

Shakopee Mayor Brad Tabke wants residents to share their big ideas for the city, according to a post on his website. 

"To move Shakopee forward, we need people with big ideas to move to the front of the line," he wrote. "So many people have come to me with GREAT ideas of how to make Shakopee more competitive, deliver better services or save money."

Tabke said he came up with the big idea quest after responding to a negative comment on a Shakopee Valley News report. The story talks about a downtown resident's big idea to turn the downtown fire department building into a community center/coffee shop focused on the arts. The proposal can be found here.
