Did You Hear A Tornado Siren In MN? Here's Why
Thursday is Minnesota and Wisconsin's first statewide tornado drill of the spring.
TWIN CITIES, MN — No, there is not a tornado or other kind of severe weather right now. Thursday is Minnesota and Wisconsin's first statewide tornado drill of the spring.
The drill is part of National Severe Weather Awareness Week.
"This is a great opportunity to practice a tornado safety plan at work or home, and a great reminder that sirens are only meant for those outdoors," the National Weather Service said.
