Girl With Type 1 Diabetes Missing Near Minnehaha Falls, Police Say She’s 'Endangered'
Victoria Jackson, who has Type 1 diabetes and an insulin pump, vanished Saturday evening, police said.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Minneapolis police are searching for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday night and is considered medically endangered.
Victoria Alexandria Jackson was last seen around 8 p.m. on Aug. 2 walking away from Minnehaha Falls. She has Type 1 diabetes and wears an insulin pump, prompting urgent concern from law enforcement.
"If you know where Victoria is but are hesitant to share that information out of concern for her safety, we urge you to still contact police right away," the department said in a news release. "Her health and wellbeing are our top priority, and any concerns will be addressed through the appropriate support systems."

Victoria is 5 feet 1 inch tall, about 140 pounds, with black hair in twists. She was last seen wearing a tan “Rugrat” shirt, blue jeans, and red and black shoes.

Victoria lives near the 5200 block of Minnehaha Avenue, close to Minnehaha Regional Park. Police say they are working with multiple law enforcement agencies and trained volunteers in the ongoing search.

"Efforts have been ongoing in the search for Victoria since she went missing, and we believe she is at risk of experiencing a medical emergency," said Chief Brian O’Hara.
"Anyone who has any information that may help us locate Victoria, no matter how small it seems, needs to immediately call 911 so we can locate her. Her family is experiencing the unimaginable pain of not knowing where she is, and we are working diligently toward locating her."
