Man Threatens To Blow Up Aqua City Motel
SWAT Team called out in standoff with police Sunday.

It was a tense several hours in Windom as Minneapolis police officers camped outside the Sunday morning, waiting for an explosion that never came.
According to Sgt. William Palmer, a Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson, around 9:15 a.m. a person in the motel placed a 911 call, claiming he had explosives and would "blow up" the building. Through his Twitter account, Palmer said the SWAT team was called up at 11:01 a.m., but was sent home about an hour later once the suspect was in police custody.
The suspect talked with negotiators "for over an hour," Palmer tweeted.

During the standoff only a small number of people had to be evacuated from the surrounding area, he wrote.
In the end, no explosives were found, Palmer tweeted, and the man surrendered to police. Palmer said the incident is being treated as "a mental health issue," and the suspect is being given a psychiatric evaluation.
