Minneapolis Snow Emergency: Must Know Plowing Schedule, Parking Rules
Minneapolis declared a Snow Emergency starting Thursday night, with parking restrictions to help plows clear over 1,000 miles of streets.

MINNEAPOLIS — The city of Minneapolis has officially declared a Snow Emergency, beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, in response to the season’s first significant snowfall.
City crews have already been working to plow and treat streets, officials said. However, to continue clearing over 1,000 miles of roadways and maintain wide streets for traffic, snow emergency parking rules will go into effect at 9:00 p.m. tonight.
The Snow Emergency parking restrictions are designed to help plows clear streets efficiently, ensuring they remain passable for both emergency vehicles and regular traffic, according to the city.
